Services

The following services are provided through the Guidance Department at Robidoux Middle School:

Small Groups

  • Anger Management (Mr. Wing)

  • Choices (Ellen Kisker, YWCA)

Student of the Month

Mr. Wing facilitates the selection process each month based on character traits that student's represent.

Inpidual Counseling

Mr. Wing and Ms. McClintick meet with students on an inpidual basis to address their needs socially, academically, emotionally and physically.

Mediation

Mr. Wing and Ms. McClintick facilitate the opportunity for students to work through conflict in a safe and controlled environment.

Case Management

Mr. Wing and Ms. McClintick are responsible for maintaining a collaborative relationship with community services. (E.g., Family Guidance, Northwest Regional, etc.)

Pregnant & Parenting

Ms. McClintick works closely with students that are pregnant &/or parenting to provide resources in the community to meet the physical and emotional needs of both the student and the child.

Families in Transition

Ms. McClintick is the facilitator of this program for RMS. This program is for students that qualify under the McKinney-Vento Act as persons without a fixed and/or adequate place of residence.

Career Planning

Mr. Wing is responsible for working with students through Missouri Connections to help guide students down the career path they are best suited for based on their own interests.

Freshman Registration

Mr. Wing works with Lafayette High School counseling team to establish a four-year plan. They confirm each 8th graders freshman registration in the second semester.
