It is our privilege to be able to continue providing all students with technology that allows them to extend their educational opportunities past the classroom. To continue providing this service, we have to implement protocol for student devices not returned at the end of the school year.
To start the year, we will not issue devices to students with fees or devices they did not return after the end of last school year. For these students to receive a device, one of the following options need to be satisfied.
The parent/student options are as follows:
1. Return the device(s) to any school building in the district or Troester Media Center.
2. Pay the fees charges to their student account for the missing device(s).
3. Call the Director of Technology, Jacob Kelly, at 816-671-4390 to discuss options. Exceptions will only be made for extenuating circumstances.
If needed, we will work out a plan for students to use a device that stays at school. All students should receive notice for unreturned items. Unfortunately, if no action is taken to attempt the return of a device, or to submit compensation, legal action may be required.
We hope this process goes smoothly and everyone has a great start to the school year!
